EAST WINDSOR, N.J. ― Registration is open for New Jersey Youth Soccer’s 2018-19 State Cups competitions, which includes the National Championship Series, Presidents Cup and Commissioners Cup.

To register for State Cup competition, teams will use the link provided below for the respective tournament by the early registration deadline on August 20th for reduced pricing, or the final registration deadline Aug. 27. The tournament registration will be held through the GotSoccer platform and participating teams will be eligible for GotSoccer ranking points. If your team is not in GotSoccer (with the same roster as the NJYS roster), then you will need to create an account first. National Championship Series

The National Championship Series is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing winners from each state the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.

Fees: $225 (early registration by Aug. 20), $250 (between Aug. 21-27)

President’s Cup

The Presidents Cup is a national tournament that is designed to create a high-level competition for teams that are looking to play against teams of similar abilities, where those teams that advance will play for a regional or possibly a national title.

Fees: $200 (early registration by Aug. 20), $230 (between Aug. 21-27)

Commissioners Cup

The Commissioners Cup is a tournament that was successfully introduced this past year and hosts travel teams in the U-11 to U-14 age groups in the fall, with the U15 and U16 age groups participating in the spring/summer. This state-only tournament is designed to create a challenging and enjoyable event for teams that do not play in the National Championship Series or Presidents Cup.

Players and teams may only enter one State Cup competition. Preliminary matches are hosted by one of the competing teams, while the semifinals and finals are hosted by NJ Youth Soccer at a neutral site. Registration for the U-15 through U-19 age groups is expected to open this Fall with tournament games taking place in the Spring of 2019.

“The 2018-2019 season is quickly approaching, and we are excited to host the State Cup tournaments,” NJ Youth Soccer Executive Director Evan Dabby said. “Through our three levels of State Cup play, we are able to accommodate teams seeking various degrees of competition. Last season’s tournaments were very successful. We look forward to further developing the event this upcoming season.”
