PORTLAND, Me. — The Brooklyn Italians secured second place in the North Atlantic Conference with a 4-0 victory over the Seacoast United Mariners in the National Premier Soccer League regular season finale for both teams Saturday night.

Thomas Suchecki scored on either side of the interval to lead the Italians (7-2-1, 22 points), who will host a conference semifinal game at the Long Island University Athletic Complex Wednesday night. The Mariners (2) finished the season in last and 11th place in the conference with an 0-8-2 mark.

Barely two minutes into the match, Ahu Obhakhan lifted the visitors into the lead with a goal. Suchecki doubled in the 34th minute minute and Clement Bourret made it 3-0 five minutes later.

Suchecki closed out the scoring in the 57th minute.
