MADISON, N.J. — FC Motown’s perfect season went down the drain Saturday night as West Chester United pulled out a 2-1 National Premier Soccer League victory at Drew University.
West Chester (7-3-0, 21 points), who has clinched a playoff spot, scored in the second half to snap a 1-1 deadlock against FC Motown (9-1-0, 27), which captured the Keystone Conference.
Sam Brown scored one goal and set up another by RC Williams for the winners. Alex Kades also was credited with an assist.
“Great job by our opponents in a tightly contested game,” the FC Motown Twitter feed said.
The visitors scored a minute into the match before Matt Nigro, off a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Hershey FC last week, equalized soon after, thanks to a Sammy Gehman pass.
The hosts did not have former Major League Soccer midfielder Dilly Duka in its Starting XI.
FC Motown will host FC Monmouth (6-3-1, 19) in a Keystone Conference semifinal playoff game Wednesday night.
