The Red Bulls have waived forward Stefano Bonomo, the MLS club announced Thursday.

A second-round selection in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, Bonomo saw his first MLS action with an appearance in a 3-0 win over Minnesota United FC March 24.

For Red Bull II this United Soccer League season, Bonomo started seven of 11 games he played for the team. He finished with three goals and two assists in 661 minutes.

Bonomo recorded 24 goals and nine assists for NYRBII in 4,116 minutes over 64 matches.

He enjoyed his best offensive season in 2017, recording 13 goals and two assists in 16 appearances. Bonomo helped Red Bull II capture the Eastern Conference title, the USL Shield and USL Cup in 2016.
