MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Red Bull II overcame a one-goal deficit and went on to record a 4-2 win over the Charlotte Independence in United Soccer League action in its return to MSU Soccer Park Saturday night.

Four players scored for NYRB (5-3-5, 20 points) — Amando Moreno, Cristian Cásseres Jr., Andrew Tinari and Lucas Stauffer. Charlotte (20) fell to 6-4-2.

NYRB II played its first six home matches at Red Bull Arena, going 4-1-1 while MSU Soccer Park was being renovated.

After making his USL pro debut last week against Cincinnati, Red Bulls Academy Under-19 defender Jordan Bailon made his first career USL start.

Charlotte opened the scoring in the 24th minute as Cordell Cato scored.

The hosts responded one minute later from Moreno, which was assisted by Jared Stroud. It was Moreno’s team-leading sixth goal this season.

Cásseres Jr. scored his first goal of the season from a penalty kick in the 60th minute.

Less than a minute later, Tinari scored only seconds after entering the match. He was assisted by Stroud, who recorded his second assist of the game and seventh of the season.

Another NYRB II goal in the 74th minute came from Stauffer, who recorded his first goal of the season and first pro goal.

Charlotte scored its second goal from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.

NYRB II head to Pittsburgh to visit the Riverhounds next Saturday.
