WEST WINDSOR, N.J. — Dilly Duka struck twice within a two-minute span midway through the second half to spark FC Motown to a 4-0 triumph over New Jersey Copa FC in a National Premier Soccer League game Saturday night.
FC Motown improved to 3-0-0 while NJ Copa FC suffered its first loss of the season and fell to 2-1-0.
The former Red Bulls midfielder started Motown’s scoring surge in the 63rd minute. Christopher Katona squared the ball to Duka, who slotted the ball home past goalkeeper Juan Giraldo at Mercer County College.
Two minutes later, second-half substitute Maxi Garcia sent a through ball to Duka, who finished for a two-goal margin.
Garcia turned goal-scorer, scoring an unassisted tally in the 81st minute. He picked up the ball and because a Copa center back.
A pair of second-half subs combined for the final goal in the 85th minute as Lucas Terci’s shot rebounded off the post and Kene Eze slipped the ball home.
Motown outshot Copa, 29-6, including 21-3 in the second half.
Goalkeeper Abdoukarim Danso, who made two saves, recorded the shutout.
Giraldo produced 10 saves for Copa.
