It has been a very good year for the Lake Grove/Newfield Dynamite of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, the No. 1 Boys Under-15 team in New York.

Lake Grove/Newfield had a 6-0-0 record while becoming champions of the Eastern New York Premier League and are in the semifinals of the State Open Cup.

The team also has a 6-0-0 record in the Eastern Development Program and are near the top of the standings with a 3-2-2 record in the Eastern Regional League.

“Our team’s biggest asset is our work ethic as the boys play extremely hard in both games and training. We have a long way to go but we improve weekly,” Lake Grove/Newfield coach Tim Graham said. “Our defense is organized and deep in talent while our midfield seeks to possess and, despite our lack of size and pace, we are beginning to become technical enough to control most games. Our attack is decent and although scoring can become difficult, we are able to capitalize on team’s mistakes and often counter successfully.”
