It turned into quite a weekend for the Rochester Lady Lancers as they returned home with not one, but firsts.

The Lady Lancers secured their first road point in their two-year history behind a thrilling, comeback 2-2 draw at the New England Mutiny at East Longmeadow High School in United Women’s Soccer League action Saturday night.

Less than 24 hours later, they did themselves several times better, registering their first win, a rousing 9-3 triumph at the Worcester Smiles at Foley Stadium in Worcester, Mass. Sunday.

The Lady Lancers accomplished it in style, striking six times in the second half to snap a 3-3 deadlock.

They will return home to host the Connecticut Fusion in their home opener at Marina Auto Stadium Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m.

That will be the first game of a doubleheader as the Lancers will welcome Erie Commodores FC in their home opener at 5 p.m. The Lancers dropped their NPSL season opener to Cleveland SC Saturday night, 2-0.
