New York City FC will honor captain David Villa for scoring his 400th career goal prior to the team’s match against the Colorado Rapids at Yankee Stadium Saturday.

Villa broke the 400-goal barrier — for club and country — in NYCFC’s 3-1 home win over FC Dallas April 30.

In fact, Saturday will as been declared David Villa Day in New York City.

Representatives from the City of New York, City sporting director Claudio Reyna, team president Jon Patricof, City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano and team vice chairman Marty Edelman will partake in the pre-game ceremonies.

Third Rail represenatives will present Villa with a custom made gift.
