Red Bulls forward-midfielder Derrick Etienne, Jr., fresh off a goal-scoring performance in his latest game, has been called into the Haitian national team for its friendly vs. Argentina.

Red Bulls forward-midfielder Derrick Etienne, Jr., fresh off a goal-scoring performance in his latest game, has been called into the Haitian national team for its friendly vs. Argentina.

The Haitians will meet Argentina on May 29 as Lionel Messi and Le Celeste y Blanca prepare for the World Cup.

Etienne, Jr., who scored the Red Bulls’ second goal in their 2-1 victory at the Colorado Rapids Saturday, has five caps with Les Grenadiers, scoring once. His lone goal came on January 8, 2017 against Trinidad and Tobago in the 2017 Caribbean Cup qualification.

Etienne, Jr. will miss the Red Bulls match against the Philadelphia Union Saturday, May 26.
