BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Red Bull II’s seven-game unbeaten streak came to an end Wednesday night, falling to Bethlehem Steel City in a United Soccer League game at Goodman Stadium Wednesday.
The visitors dropped to 3-2-5 and remained at 14 points while Bethlehem (11 points) improved to 3-4-2.
Michee Ngalina lifted the hosts into the lead in the 37th minute and Fabian Herbers doubled it to 2-0 in the 64th minute.
Four minutes into stoppage time, former NYRBII Adam Najem tallied.
Red Bulls defender-midfielder Connor Lade made his NYRB II 2018 debut as he rehabs from an injury. He played the opening 45 minutes before being replaced by Niko De Vera at halftime.
Steven Echevarria came on as a 72nd-minute substitute, his first appearance since April 7 against the Richmond Kickers.
NYRB II will take a 10-day break before returning to Red Bull Arena May 27 at 1 p.m. as it welcomes Indy Eleven for its first matchup.
