OTTAWA — Despite playing the final 24 minutes a man up, Red Bull II could not solve Ottawa Fury FC and finished with a scoreless draw in a Wednesday matinee game.

For the second consecutive match, Red Bull II played a Canadian soccer team to a scoreless tie on the road in front of a crowd of 8,084 at TD Place.

On Saturday, Red Bull II and host Toronto FC II finished in a nil-nil deadlock.

Red Bull (3-1-4, 13 points) extended its unbeaten streak to six games while Ottawa (0-4-2, 2) is still looking for its first win this United Soccer League season.

Chris Mannella was issued a straight red card in the 66th minute for violent conduct against Andrew Tinari, giving the visitors a man advantage.

NYRB II defender Lucas Stauffer made his USL pro debut with the club, logging 75 minutes before being subbed off for Ethan Kutler.

First-team players Vincent Bezecourt, Derrick Etienne, Jr., Ryan Meara and Alex Muyl were all made their first USL appearances of the season.

Meara started and recorded a clean sheet, NYRB II’s second consecutive shutuout and third of the season.

In the third minute of stoppage time, Cristian Casseres, Jr. nearly found the winner, sending a shot onto frame but his effort hit side netting.

NYRB II returns home to Red Bull Arena Sunday and welcome league-newcomer Nashville SC at 1 p.m. ET.
