QUEENS, N.Y. — Cosmos B completed its preseason on a winning note, recording a 2-0 victory over host St. John’s University Tuesday night.

The team will kick off its National Premier Soccer League season at Boston City FC Sunday night.

Cosmos B registered a 3-1-1 preseason mark, winning its final three matches.

The squad began with a 3-1 loss to Long Island University Brooklyn and rebounded with a 1-1 draw with Hofstra University April 13. It continued with a 3-0 win at Columbia University April 18 and the team added a 5-1 triumph at LIU Post Saturday, April 21.

After the NPSL opener, Cosmos B will meet the Brooklyn Italians in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play-in match at LIU Brooklyn Sunday, May 6 at 8 p.m.
