HARRISON, N.J. — Amando Moreno tallied twice within a five-minute span midway through the second half to pace Red Bulls II to a 5-2 United Soccer League victory over the Charleston Battery at Red Bull Arena Saturday afternoon.

NYRBII recorded its second win of the season and its second consecutive home win.

The hosts were awarded a penalty kick in the 42nd minute after Ben Mines was brought down in the box. Brian White converted from the spot, scoring his second goal in as many weeks.

Two minutes into the second half, White recovered the ball after having a shot blocked and found Andrew Tinari in the box. Tinari then fired it into the back of the net to double the lead.

In the 50th minute, Mines scored his first goal of the season finding the ball in the box after White flicked the ball to him off a set piece.

Tah Arunga scored a brace for Charleston with goals in the 56th minute and 78th minute.

Moreno notched his first two career USL goals, the first via an assist from Tinari in the 61st minute, the second off a long aerial assist from Ethan Kutler five minute later.

Cristian Casseres, Jr. made his first career USL start, logging 65 minutes before being replaced by José Aguinaga, who also made his USL debut by playing 25 minutes.
