EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – As part of the EDP Cup Spring Showcase soccer tournament, EDP will hold its first EDP College Combine at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, N.J. Friday, June 15.
The Spring Showcase is set for June 16-17.
The EDP College Combine is a tailored recruitment opportunity that addresses the needs of college coaches and players alike.
At this event, 64 boys and 64 girls will be split into teams and play in front of a group of selected college soccer coaches. Current high school sophomores and juniors whose teams are registered for the EDP Cup Spring Showcase will be eligible to take part in the EDP College Combine.
Applications will be accepted starting on April 16. There will be a $100 per player fee to participate.
“The EDP College Combine will provide both players and college coaches with a refined recruiting opportunity that may be difficult to achieve in a traditional showcase setting,” EDP CEO Alan Shilling said. “Tuckahoe is already home to numerous nationally ranked tournaments, and we are excited to bring this unique recruitment platform to Tuckahoe for the benefit of our teams. The EDP College Combine will provide the concentrated scouting opportunity that players and college coaches are looking for.”
