HARRISBURG, Pa. — Penn FC added its second former Cosmos player in three days as the United Soccer League club signed forward Lucky Mkosana Wednesday.

The signing is pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.

Penn FC signed ex-Cosmos midfielder Richard Menjivar Monday.

Mkosana, who played for the Harrisburg City Islanders during the 2012-13 seasons, when he scored 20 goals in 21 starts and 38 appearances. That came to a goal every 100 minutes.

The Zimbabwean international also has performed for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the North American Soccer League and IFK Mariehamn from Finland’s first division, Veikkausliiga.

He made 94 appearances for the Rowdies and Cosmos including seven appearances in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and four matches in the NASL playoffs. Mkosana recorded 15 goals and eight assists in all competitions in the NASL. He scored a 90th-minute equalizer for the Cosmos against New York City FC in the 2015 Open Cup in which New York won in a shootout. Mkosana was a member of the Cosmos’ NASL championship sides in 2015 and 2016.

In 2017, Mkosana made 15 appearances for IFK Mariehamn and scored four goals. He tallied twice in Finland’s domestic cup, the Suomen Cup, which helped propel IFK Mariehamn into the quarterfinals.
