The Eastern New York Premier League will kickoff its season the weekend of March 10-11.

The league, the oldest continuous Premier League in the country, enters its 18th year.

Under the direction of ENYPL chairperson Andreas Touros, the league is represented by eight leagues from the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. In 2017, New York City had the most teams registered while this year, Long Island takes those honors.

Forty-eight teams will participate in the league.

“ENYPL is bringing something new to the competition as the top two ENYPL teams move into State Open Cup semifinal round but they must be registered in the State Cup and have been eliminated in one of the earlier rounds,” Touros said. “As always, the State Open Cup champion will represent Eastern New York in the regionals.”
