The 36th Annual Long Island Junior Soccer League convention will be held at the Huntington Hilton in Melville, N.Y. from March 9-11.

Approximately 10,000 soccer enthusiasts again are expected to attend.

The event begins Friday, March 9 at 9 p.m. with the annual awards dinner as the volunteer of the year from LIJSL clubs will be honored as well as the newest inductees into the LIJSL Hall of Fame.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, March 10 in Salon D, the Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame Gala will honor its newest members.

Although there is a fee for attending both dinners, admission to the rest of the convention is free. Throughout the day on Saturday, March 10 and on Sunday morning, March 11, there will be LIJSL Sportsmanship Award presentations, meetings for club presidents, coaches and volunteers plus coaches and referee clinics.
