There are two Reynas at the New York City FC training camp.

Of course, there is sporting director Claudio Reyna.

Then there is his 15-year-old son Giovanni, who is among five NYCFC Academy prospects working out with the Major League Soccer League team’s preseason camp in Jacksonville, Fla.

The other four players are Joe Scally, Tyler Shaver, Justin Haak and Dante Polvara.

Reyna earned the Golden Ball in the Premier Division at the 2017 Generation adidas Cup as his team won the competition’s secondary tournament.

Last year a U.S. Soccer scout told MLSSoccer.com that Reyna was one of “four or five best players in the entire pool.”

Reyna reportedly has been eyeing a move to Europe as early as this year, although it never hurts to keep his options open, especially with his father having great influence with the team.
