HARRISON, N.J. – The Red Bulls and Montclair State University announced Friday upgrades to MSU Soccer Park for the upcoming United Soccer League season for Red Bull II.

After increasing the seating capacity to 3,500 in 2017, an additional 1,500 seats will be added to bring capacity to 5,000 seats at the stadium.

The Red Bulls also will build new locker rooms adjacent to the playing field, as well as replacing the turf.

“We are excited to continue our investment at Montclair State University,” NYRB II general manager Shaun Oliver said. “These investments are important as it relates to the future of our New York Red Bulls II team. These upgrades will enable NYRB II to continue to compete at the highest level of USL for years to come, while also providing Montclair State University and the Montclair community a first-class facility for their teams and students.”

While renovations are made, NYRB II will play their first six home matches at Red Bull Arena and end with the final 11 at MSU Soccer Park.

The season opener will take place at RBA against Toronto FC II March 17.

The MSU opener will take place June 9 against Charlotte Independence June 9.
