New York City FC is going west for its preseason.

Well, at least part of it.

NYCFC announced Wednesday that it will meet the LA Galaxy in a Major League Soccer preseason friendly at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.

Six days prior on Feb. 4, City will begin training on the west coast.

“We are looking forward to our friendly versus the LA Galaxy as it promises to be a really good test for us as we prepare for the 2018 MLS Season,” NYCFC head coach Patrick Vieira said in a statement.

“Our league matches against LA have always been entertaining; the Galaxy always have a strong collective and a number of quality individual talents. This game will be a really important moment for us in preseason as we look to integrate new players into our squad and build our chemistry and rhythm on the field.”

This friendly will mark the fourth meeting between the teams. City recorded a 2-0 victory over the host Galaxy in August as Jonathan Lewis and David Villa scored goals and goalkeeper Sean Johnson stood on his head in the net.

Further preseason plans for the club will be announced soon.
