Houston Dash striker Rachel Daly was named the National Women’s Soccer League teams offensive player of the year and winner of the club’s top goal.

The one-time St. John’s University standout and All-American led Houston with five goals and two assists.

In the Dash’s season opener April 15, the English native tallied the goal of the year off her 16-yard shot to the far left corner in the team’s season opener against the Chicago Red Stars April 15.

Daly’s goal was the No.1 player among ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 and was voted NWSL goal of the week for Week 1.
