WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth University men scored the equalizer in the 34th minute against Siena College on Saturday night, but neither team could put another in the net, resulting in the 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tie.

“It was another hard-fought, difficult conference battle,” Monmouth head coach Robert McCourt said. “Siena is a good team, and I think the guys had some really good soccer going on tonight. We created some good chances, so we can continue to learn from these moments and move on to build from it. I was excited about some of the moments in the game tonight.”

Sophomore Donovan Pollock scored his first goal of the season on a header, as redshirt freshman John Antunes picked up his third assist.

Junior goalkeeper Bobby Edwards made eight saves, which tied a season-high for saves. The Hawks’ record now stands at 4-7-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the MAAC.

The Hawks will travel to Buffalo, N.Y. for a matchup with Canisius Wednesday.
