STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Wagner College women dropped a 2-0 decision to Northeast Conference opponent Saint Francis U at Hameline Field Sunday afternoon.

The Seahawks fell to 3-8-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the NEC, while the Red Flash improved to 7-7-1 overall, 4-1 in league.

The visitors struck five minutes into the contest, as an unassisted strike from Mariana Jaleca gave the Red Flash a 1-0 halftime lead.

SFU doubled its lead in the 57th minute, as Alyssa McGhee converted a Sara Suler feed for the two-goal lead.

Wagner sophomore goalkeeper Delaney Beck made seven saves, while junior Katie Viscardi made four saves in the second half.

The Seahawks travel to Central Connecticut State Friday at 7 p.m.
