QUEENS, N.Y. – Riding the team’s longest unbeaten streak in four seasons, the St. John’s University men will kick off a four-game road swing, traveling to Bethlehem, Pa., for a Tuesday 7 p.m. matchup against Lehigh University.

The Red Storm enters the game having won four in a row after a upset over Xavier University at Belson Stadium Saturday night. Led by a brace from freshman Jack Shearer in the opening 25 minutes, the Red Storm registered its highest goal total against a ranked opponent since Sept. 1, 2011, when the Johnnies topped No. 8 William & Mary, 3-0.

A victory over the Mountain Hawks would give the Red Storm its longest winning streak since 2009, a year that saw the Johnnies claim their eighth of a record nine Big East tournament titles. That five-game winning streak came in the middle of a 13-game unbeaten streak for the Red Storm, which matched an NCAA record with nine draws that year.

Lehigh welcomes the Red Storm to Banko Field having won four consecutive game, including a 1-0 victory in its Patriot League opener against Army Saturday night and a 3-1 triumph over Big East foe Seton Hall Sept. 19. Junior forward Mark Forrest leads the Mountain Hawks’ attack, registering six goals and four assists in the first seven games. Sophomore goalkeeper Will Smith has played every minute, allowing an average of one goal per game.

Tuesday night will mark the first meeting between St. John’s and Lehigh.
