LONDON — U.S. international Carli Lloyd was named one of the three finalists for the Best FIFA women’s player award, the organization announced Friday.

Lloyd, who performs for Manchester City, was the 2015 and 2016 FIFA women’s player of the year.

The other two finalists are Deyna Castellanos (Venezuela/Santa Clarita Blue Heat) and Lieke Martens (Netherlands/FC Rosengård/FC Barcelona).

Sky Blue FC and Australian international striker Sam Kerr, who has been filling the net for club and country, did not make the final three.

The winners will be announced at the London Palladium Theatre Oct. 23.
