STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Wagner College women return to Hameline Field for its first two of three consecutive home matches, hosting NJIT Friday at 7 p.m. and Stony Brook University Sunday at 1 p.m.

In its most recent encounter, goals goals by juniors Kristen Bischoff and Sandra Battista combined with a tight defense led by sophomore goalkeeper Delaney Beck’s eight saves, helped the Seahawks earn a 2-2 tie at Iona Sunday.

After scoring the first two goals of her collegiate career in two games last week, Bischoff named the Northeast Conference player of the week.

Against NJIT, the Green and White has won five of its last six games. In 2013, Wagner shut out NJIT, 4-0, which capped a five-game win streak against the Highlanders. Over the last six meetings, the Seahawks have outscored NJIT, 13-5.

Against Stony Brook, the Seahawks’ last victory over the Seawolves came in 2014, a 2-0 shutout victory at Hameline Field, as Samantha Jensen and Daniella Davis scored. The matchup also marked the last time the teams met on Staten Island.
