HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – After making her first two career starts in net, Hofstra University senior goalkeeper Jenna Borresen has been named the Colonial Athletic Association defensive player of the week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Borresen did not allow a goal in more than 200 minutes, helping the Pride to a 1-0-1 weekend, beating Fordham University, 1-0, Friday before playing to a scoreless draw with Monmouth University Sunday.

She made a career-high four saves in the victory before adding two more stops in the tie, confidently managing the game. The honor is her first conference award.

The Pride closes non-conference play Stony Brook University Thursday at 7 p.m.
