There is mixed news on the injury front for New York City FC.

Captain David Villa and midfielder Alex Ring have been listed as questionable for Saturday’s home encounter against the Portland Timbers at Yankee Stadium.

Midfielder Yangel Herrera, who missed Wednesday’s 1-0 home win over Sporting Kansas City due to World Cup qualifying duty, has been sidelined for Saturday’s match due to an athletic pubalgia injury suffered while playing for Venezuela in its 1-1 draw with Argentina Tuesday.

Herrera has been listed day to day.

Villa, who missed the KC match with an addcutor irritation, might play Saturday. According to the club, a late decision will be made on the Spanish international’s condition.

Ring suffered a toe injury while playing for Finland in a WCQ last week.

Forward Rodney Wallace, who missed Wednesday game due to a double-jeopardy situation (WCQ and a yellow-card suspension) is available for the Starting XI.
