FRISCO, Texas — In a game that featured four goals, it was left to a goalkeeper to save the day again and again.
Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles made several key saves during the stretch and stoppage time to help the Red Bulls to a 2-2 draw with 10-man FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium Saturday night.
Two minutes into injury time, Robles saved Walker Zimmerman’s header.
A minute later, Robles slapped away with both hands, Cristian Colman’s attempt before Zimmerman headed the ball off the crossbar as the draw gave the fifth-place Red Bulls a 12-10-4 mark and 40 points.
FC Dallas (9-7-10, 37), whose winless streak reached seven games, was forced to play the final 53 minutes of the match a man down after Jacori Hayes was assessed his second yellow within eight minutes in the 37th minute.
The Red Bulls took advantage of their man advantage as midfielder Sacha Kljestan scored off a Bradley Wright-Phillips assist in the 43rd minute. The Red Bulls captain powered in a 17-yard drive after BWP’s back heel feed set him up.
