HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bulls defenders Michael Amir Murillo and Fidel Escobar have been called into Panamanian national team camp ahead of two World Cup qualifiers, the Panama Football Federation announced.
They will will join Panama following the Hudson River Derby against New York City FC at Red Bull Arena Friday, August 25 as they will miss a Major League Soccer at FC Dallas Sept. 2.
Panama will face Mexico Sept. 1 and Trinidad and Tobago Sept. 5.
Both players saw time for Los Canaleros most recently at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
On loan from San Francisco FC, Murillo has appeared in 11 games, starting nine for the Red Bulls, scoring a goal.
Escobar, acquired on loan from San Miguelito July 27 made his MLS debut in the 2-0 loss at the Portland Timbers Friday night. He started and played the full 90 for New York Red Bulls II last weekend in Charleston.
