HARRISON, N.J. – Some good news for the Red Bulls in the wake of their 3-2 loss to New York City FC Sunday night.
Midfielder Daniel Royer, who was forced from the Hudson River Derby in the first half at Yankee Stadium, whose status is week-to-week.
Royer, who has scored 10 goals this season, underwent an MRI at the Hospital for Special Surgery Monday.
The MRI revealed a hyperextension of the right knee, which resulted in bone bruising.
