BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. — Man, talk about catching the early bird and leaving it late.

The Major League Soccer Homegrown team tallied in the opening minute and struck for the equalizing goal for a 2-2 draw with Chivas de Guadalajara’s Under-20 team in the annual Homegrown Game at Toyota Park Tuesday night.

Colorado Rapids rookie defender Kortne Ford headed the ball home three minutes into stoppage time for the Homegrown side.

In the opening minute, Chicago Fire rookie Djordje Mihailovic gave the MLS team the lead off an assist by Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams.

Inbetween those goals, Jose de Jesus Godinez and Ruben Dominguez scored for Chivas in the 27th and 68th minutes, respectively.
