HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bull Arena will host Atletico Nacional (Colombia) and Chivas de Guadalajara (Mexico) in an international friendly Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. ET.
The game announced Friday by SPD Sports.
The encounter will be called the SuperCopa de Campeones, as both clubs are the reigning champions of their respective leagues.
Both clubs have enjoyed success. Atletico Nacional’s 2017 league title was its 16th in club history. The club has won the Copa Colombia three times since 2012 and captured the Copa Libertadores title in 2016.
Chivas de Guadalajara secured the Primera Division and Copa MX Clausuras in 2017. The team also has won the Primera Division 12 times since the 1950s and earned the SuperCopa MX title in 2016.
Tickets will go on-sale Tuesday at 10 a.m., and can be purchased online via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
Red Bulls Red Members will have access to an exclusive presale Monday at 10 a.m.
The friendly will be played two days after the United States hosts Costa Rica in a World Cup qualifier at RBA.
