TINTON FALLS, N.J. – Sky Blue FC announced Wednesday that it has waived forward Kim DeCesare.

DeCesare, who did not log any time with the National Women’s Soccer League side this season, made seven starts over 15 matches in her previous two seasons.

“On behalf of us all at Sky Blue FC, we want to thank Kim for everything she has done for our club,” Sky Blue FC head coach Christy Holly said. “She has been an important asset to us over the years, both on and off the field. We will certainly miss Kim in New Jersey, and we wish her the greatest of successes as she moves forward.”

Sky Blue FC (7-6-2, 23 points) heads west to play at Seattle Reign FC Saturday at 10 p.m. The team will return home to Yurcak Field to host the Washington Spirit Aug. 4 at 7 p.m.
