Lucky Mkosana is heading back to the Cosmos, according to Kristian Dyer of Metro New York.

The newspaper reported Tuesday morning that the Zimbabwean striker will sign with the two-time defending North American Soccer League champions this week, a source said.

He signed with Finnish side IFK Mariehamn in the offseason during the Cosmos’ financial crisis after the 2016 season. It was thought the Cosmos were going out of business.

Mkosana played two seasons with the Cosmos.

Third-place New York, which recorded a 4-2 comeback win over Puerto Rico FC, visits league-leader Miami FC Saturday.
