It turned out to be a weekend of mixed results for the Rochester Lancers.

The Lancers men’s team played the host Dayton Dynamo to a scoreless draw in National Premier Soccer League action in Dayton, Ohio Friday night.

Second-place Dayton (5-2-2, 17 points) remained three points ahead of third-place Rochester (4-2-2) in the Midwest Division, though the Lancers have a game in hand.

On Saturday night, the Lady Lancers dropped a 4-1 decision at the Western New York Flash in a United Women’ Soccer match in Niagara, N.Y.

Madisyn Pezzino and Carissima Cutrona scored two goals and recorded two assists apiece for the hosts, while

Only two minutes after kickoff, Pezzino lifted the Flash into the lead before Adrianna VanCuyck equalized five minutes later.

Pezzino,, however, gave WNY the lead for good at 2-1 off a Cutrona assist in the 29th minute before Cutrona tacked on goals in the 51st and 76th minutes, off of Pezzino feeds to close out the scoring.

The Lady Lancers will be back in action at Charles Schiano Field at Aquinas Stadium Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lancers host FC Buffalo Friday at 7:30 p.m.
