The outcome carries heavy implications in the standings, where first and fourth place are separated by three points. New Jersey Copa FC (4-1-0, 12 points) and NY Surf (3-1-1, 10) in third and fourth place in the table, respectively, with the other two teams being the Long Island Rough Riders (4-0-1, 13) and the New England Mutiny (4-2-0, 12).
