Well, the Red Bulls certainly will have their fill of Philly this month.

They visit the Philadelphia Union in a Major League Soccer encounter Sunday at 5 p.m.

They then will welcome the same side for a Round of 16 game in the Lamar Hunt/U.S. Open Cup encounter Wednesday, June 28 as the two teams were paired together in U.S. Soccer’s draw Thursday morning.

The Red Bulls, who eliminated New York City FC from the competition with a 1-0 win Wednesday night, will have an opportunity to avenge last year’s ouster by Philly. In that match, New York fell in Chester, Pa., 2-1, as Jesse Marsch was ejected late in the contest.

Should the Red Bulls advance, they will play the winner of the New England Revolution-D.C. United game in the quarterfinals , which would be played from July 7-16.

If the Revs prevails, they will play at Jordan Field at Harvard University in Boston, Mass.

If United wins, they will meet at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md.

The Union advanced following Wednesday night’s 3-1 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders. Derrick Jones and Marcus Epps scored their first competitive goals for the team. Jay Simpson recorded two assists and goalkeeper John McCarthy made six saves.
