Red Bulls right back Connor Lade is questionable for Wednesday’s Lamar Hunt/U.S. Open Cup match against New York City FC.

Lade, who has played well for the Red Bulls this Major League Soccer season, picked up a knock in practice and was not fully engaged with the team during training at the Red Bulls training facility in Hanover, N.J. Monday.

“It’s a little bit day to day,” Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch told reporters. “We’re hopeful that he’ll get himself ready for Wednesday. We’ll wait and see.”

With Michael Murillo on World Cup qualifying duty with the Panama national team, Sal Zizzo would be the first option to replace Lade.

Center back Aurelien Collin, who has been sidelined after suffering a strain in his abdominal muscle during practice leading up to the game against the Chicago Fire April 29, is available for selection, Marsch said.

“He will be back in the group,” Marsch said.

Midfielder-forward Derrick Etienne, Jr. also will be in the 18, Marsch added.
