ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Substitute Bradley Kamdem Fewo scored his first career goal and Tomas Gomez recorded his fourth shutout of the United Soccer League season as the Rochester Rhinos recorded a 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati at Capelli Sport Stadium Saturday.
The Rhinos (4-1-3) moved into fourth place while FC Cincinnati (4-5-3) fell to seventh place.
Kamdem Fewo, who replaced the injured Rayane Boukemi in the 22nd minute, scored in the 65th minute.
Joe Farrell started the sequence from the back, sending the ball to Brandon Beresford who flicked it on to Jochen Graf, who sent Kenardo Forbes. Forbes played the ball outside to Kamdem Fewo, who curled in the shot.
“It feels nice to get my first goal,” Kamdem told www.RhinosSoccer.com. It’s great for me, the team and for my family. Kenardo made a great overlapping run to drag both defenders to the left. It allowed me to go to the middle of the field and I went far post.”
The Rhinos head to Florida for games against Orlando City B and the Tampa Bay Rowdies this week before returning to meet the New England Revolution in a Lamar Hunt/U.S. Open Cup game in Rhode Island next week.
