CHICAGO – North Carolina Courage forward Lynn Williams Friday was added to the national team roster for the upcoming trip to Sweden and Norway.

Williams has eight caps and two international goals.

Forward Alex Morgan, who has been selected for the two mtaches, has been ruled out of the upcoming trip to Scandinavia. Morgan, who injured her left hamstring just under three weeks ago in a league match against rival Paris Saint-Germain, recovered well enough to start yesterday’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final, also against PSG. But she aggravated the injury and had to depart the match in the 23rd minute.

“It is important that Alex has appropriate time to heal and get 100 percent healthy and ready for the Orlando Pride,” U.S. head coach Jill Ellis said. “Lynn has been gaining momentum in the league and has earned an opportunity to join us for the next two matches.”

With her stint in Lyon over after helping the club win the Division 1 Féminine, French Cup and Champions League titles, Morgan will head back to the United States shortly to rehab the injury and prepare for the remainder of the National Women’s Soccer League season with the Orlando Pride.

The USA will play against Sweden at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg June 8 (1:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and UDN) and against Norway at Komplett Arena in Sandefjord June 11 (1 p.m. ET on FOX).
