Earlier this season, midfielders Danny Szetela and goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer played in their 100th career game for the Cosmos.

On Saturday night, the two veteran players will be honored at the two-time North American Soccer League team’s home game against the San Francisco Deltas at MCU Park in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The duo became the third and fourth players to reach the century mark, joining teammates Carlos Mendes, the team captain and center back, and Ayoze, who plays at left back.

“I think that it’s exciting when you realize time has passed in this new era with the Cosmos,” Cosmos head coach Giovanni Savarese said, “and to have four players surpass 100 matches shows we have continuity and a good pace of players who want to stay and contribute to the club.”
