HARRISON, N.J. — Red Bull Arena will host the national teams of Ecuador and El Salvador in an international friendly Tuesday June 13.

Both teams will be in preparation of important tournament dates. Ecuador preps for CONMEBOL World Cup qualification matches against Brazil and Peru in August and early September, respectivey. El Salvador, which already has been eliminated from World Cup qualifying, readies for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July.

Ecuador is coached by Gustavo Quinteros. He earned 26 international caps as a defender for Bolivia and became the Ecuador coach manager in the spring of 2015. La Tri are led by Antonio Valencia (Manchester United), Jefferson Montero (Swansea City) and Enner Valencia (Everton). Ecuador has appeared at RBA in 2010 and 2011.

El Salvador, who have qualified twice for the World Cup and most recently the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, is coached by Eduardo Lara. La Selecta are captained by Darwrin Ceren (San Jose Earthquakes). Rodolfo Zelaya (Alianza) sits tied for third all-time in club goal-scoring leaders with 19 goals.

The Gold Cup will kick off at RBA with a doubleheader Friday, July 7.
