OCEAN CITY, N.J. — The Ocean City Nor’easters are going to the second round of the Lamar Hunt/U.S. Open Cup.

The Premier Development League team booked a spot by recording a 3-1 over Junior Lone Star (Philadelphia) at Carey Stadium.

It will host the Harrisburg City Islanders (United Soccer League) USL May 17.

The Nor’easters grabbed a 2-0 advantage after 11 minutes behind goals by Tyler Collishaw and Fredlin Mompremier.

Ignaco Tellechea’s cross assisted Mompremier score in the fourth minute for a 1-0 edge.

Ismael Noumansana set up Collishaw to double the lead and his first goal of the season in the 11th minute.

On the hour, Lone defender Kouassi N’Guessan, off a Yaya Fane assist, sliced the lead in half with his first Open Cup goal before Akeil Barrett restored the hosts’ two-goal margin in the 82nd minute.

Prior to the insurance goal, the Philadelphis side came close to equalizing on several occasions.
