Emmanuel Ledesma has been named winner of the North American Soccer League play of the week.

He scored the lone goal for the Cosmos in their 1-0 win over the San Francisco Deltas at Kezar Stadium Saturday night.

Making his first appearance and start for the Cosmos, the midfielder received the ball on the left flank from Javi Márquez.

With Romuald Peiser off his line, Ledesma lifted the ball with precision over the goalkeeper with his shot from the top of the box. The ball deflected off the post and into the back of the net for the lone goal as the Deltas lost their first match of the spring season.
