For the second week in a row, FrontRowSoccer.com has decided to honor multiple players on a play that it deemed worth to be its goal of the week.

That honor goes to Cosmos midfielder Danny Szetela and defender Ryan Richter, who combined to score the Cosmos’ first goal in their 2-0 win over Miami FC Saturday night.

They were feted for the week ending Sunday, April 9.

Szetela, who had tallied five goals in his 85 previous Cosmos appearances, connected for the goal in the 58th minute.

Richter, who had replaced Richard Menjivar only two minutes prior, penetrated deep into the Miami FC zone and crossed a right-sided pass to the diving Szetela. He redirected the ball into the far left post.

The Cosmos have a bye this week before hosting Jacksonville Armada at MCU Park Saturday, April 22.

Last week FrontRowSoccer.com honored Tommy McNamara, Ronald Matarrita, David Villa and Alexander Callens of New York City FC for demonstrating teamwork and excellent passing on the team’s winning goal against the San Jose Earthquakes last week. McNamara scored the goal.
