The Rochester Lancers will be alive and kicking in the not too distant future.

Team owner Soccer Sam Fantauzzo has scheduled a Saturday morning press conference to announce the return of the team, according to the Rochester Lancers’ Facebook page.

The Lancers played indoor soccer for four seasons, from the 2011-12 campaign through the 2014-15 season in the Major Arena Soccer League.

The team also performed in the American Soccer League from 1967-69 and in the original incarnation of the North American Soccer League from 1970-1980.
