NEW YORK — The Cosmos Tuesday announced an official partnership with Inaria, a leading designer and manufacturer of soccer apparel and equipment.

Starting with the team’s opening match against Puerto Rico FC March 25 and running through the North American Soccer League season, the Cosmos will wear custom uniforms and apparel produced by Inaria. The kits will feature 37.5 technology – soccer’s fastest drying fabric, which dries up to five times faster than similar materials.

“The New York Cosmos are a storied American club, inspiring generations of fans across the globe,” Inaria managing partner Saverio Michielli said in a statement. “New opportunities don’t typically come together this close to the season, so we are thrilled to launch this new partnership with the Cosmos.”

Added Cosmos Chief Operating Officer Erik Stover: “We are excited to team up with Inaria, as they will offer new and vibrant gear alternatives to the Cosmos. The collaboration with Inaria is another example of the great strides our club has made in the last two months, and we look forward to growing our brands together.”

Inaria has extensive uniform partnerships with professional clubs, NCAA Division I teams and elite amateur programs, including the Schwan’s USA Cup. Two other NASL clubs, the San Francisco Deltas and Edmonton FC, are also exclusive partners. In addition, Inaria holds a partnership with Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco, the 2015 Landon Donovan MLS MVP award recipient.
