The Cosmos will train in the Dominican Republic in about a week’s time, according to midfielder Danny Szetela.

Szetela revealed the two-time North American Soccer League club’s plans on his Facebook page Sunday.

“Windows open sun shinning on the face feels so good while watching the Rangers,” he said about the New York Rangers hockey team. “Dominican Republic and warm weather in one week. Can’t wait.”

The have begun training at Columbia University in Manhattan and are scheduled to announce a new signing Tuesday, when new majority owner Rocco B.Commisso will meet with the media for the first time.

The Cosmos open the NASL spring season in 34 days, at Puerto Rico FC March 25.

Their home opener at MCU Park in Brooklyn is set against Miami FC April 1 at 7 p.m.
